2 detectivey TV shows
Date: 2021-01-03 10:38 am (UTC)- Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries - quite a light-hearted murder mystery series set in late 1920s Australia. Fun, with great costumes and some good female representation, there's a recurring side character who's a lesbian. Not much by way of queer romance though, sorry!
- Elementary - Sherlock Holmes adaptation that is more buddy-cop than things like BBC Sherlock. Lucy Liu plays Watson, and she and Sherlock are friends; there's potential for a queerplatonic relationship.
Both on netflix depending on region!
Also, if you liked Howl's Moving Castle, I suggest other Studio Gihbli films! Lots have recently made their way to netflix - Spirited Away is the most well-known, but there's also Castle in the Sky, My Neighbour Totoro, Arriety (based on the Borrowers) and more :)

Date: 2021-01-11 05:34 am (UTC)(and btw if you ever feel like an only-physical-copy-book thing, Howl's Moving Castle has a sequel, and Diana Wynne Jones was a prolific author! You may be able to get an audiobook version from your library, but I'm not sure about that.)
